Car Times Automobile was founded by Mr. Eddie Loo, a far-sighted entrepreneur who strives to venture beyond boundaries, anticipating himself in every challenging task.

Mr. Loo’s passion for cars started near to 2 decades ago when he was working as a sales executive in a company dealing in pre-owned automobiles, before being promoted to the position of Senior Manager. Supervising more than five branches before he envisioned starting his own company in 2001.

As the CEO of Car Times, Mr. Loo is responsible for the strategic planning and policies management of the company. His far-sightedness has driven him to lead the company towards the achievement of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) award ahead of his competitors.

In 2005, Mr. Eddie Loo was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year Award. It is a prestigious award that acknowledges local entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence in their field of business expertise, while significantly contributing to Singapore’s economy and society.

Under his leadership, Car Times Automobile is ranked one of the Top 50 companies in Singapore to be awarded the prestigious Small Medium Enterprise (SME) award in 2005.

Mr. Loo advocates the importance in nurturing local talents and entrepreneurs to the economy by welcoming students from Polytechnics and Universities to engage CarTimes in their research study projects. Paying back to the society underlies Mr. Loo’s commitment to social and corporate responsibility; he contributes generously to education funds through Singapore Vehicle Traders’ Association, UOB-SMU Alliance and The Straits Times School Money Pocket Fund. As an enterprising businessman, Mr. Loo strives to advance in his skills and knowledge by engaging himself in programme and training; and had completed SMU-SPRING SME Leaders Advanced Management course supported by the government.

Continuing innovation and sustaining leadership, Mr. Loo received the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award 2009, a regional award for outstanding individuals whom demonstrated good role models for emerging entrepreneurs and able to make a difference under adverse situations and environments.

With his bold ambition, Mr. Loo established a network of branches within a short span of time, boasting an impressive sales turnover and strong profits. He is indisputably recognized as one of the leaders in this industry.
